DIY Rainbow Maracas Using Plastic Spoons

Today we were feeling a bit musical. My daughter had recently finished music theme in her class as well. So obviously now we needed a music instrument craft. So for a fun and easy music instrument i decided to make gorgeous DIY Rainbow Maracas Using Plastic Spoons. I saw so many different versions of them on pinterest and decided to make our own pretty version. This was such a fun and simple craft to make.

This craft is perfect for all little kids crazy about music. These noisy DIY Rainbow Maracas Using Plastic Spoons will keep any kid busy for hours!! And this is a perfect craft for any music theme project in school. With the intention of making only two maracas we ended up making six. The instructions below are for six maracas.

Materials For DIY Rainbow Maracas Using Plastic Spoons:

• 6 Plastic Eggs
• 12 Plastic Spoons
• Multicolored beads
• Colorful Glittery tapes

Instructions For DIY Rainbow Maracas Using Plastic Spoons:

1. Fill your plastic eggs with a few beads. Enough to make a nice sound when shaken.

2. Now take each individual plastic egg and start wrapping it with the glittery colorful tapes. The trick to cover the egg neatly with tapes is to put the tape on vertically. It gives a better finished look.

3. Next place your covered egg between two spoons and tape it.

4. Also tape the handle part of the maracas for a better grip and pretty look.

And voila your pretty DIY Rainbow Maracas Using Plastic Spoons are ready to be bring some music to your life. By the way these turned out so pretty that my daughter couldn’t stop admiring them!!! She even made me make some more for all of her friends. This could be a fun give away for birthdays or perfect as a birthday activity.
